Many people, even professional and experienced day traders, only trade part time, trading for one to three hours per day, and then they spend the remainder of their day in other activities. The time zone where you live plays an important role if you are considering day trading on a part-time basis while also working at a job. For example, if you live in the Pacific Time Zone (PT), you will be able to trade very early (the markets open at 6:30AM your time) and, depending upon your commute, you’ll still be able to be at work for 9:00AM.
